      Asalamu’Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatahu

Homework is important because it reinforces what has been taught in school, prepares our children for future lessons, and helps develop responsibility. Your child is required to complete all homework.

      Weekly Expectations:

Children will be required to complete Mathematics and English (writing and spellings) homework which will be given out on a weekly basis.  The homework should take a minimum of around 30 – 40 minutes and could be carried out over a few days.  Also, extra homework will continue to be set via Education City for those who wish to challenge themselves further.

Children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 are expected to read at home regularly. All children have reading records/home school diaries which we require you to fill in at home everytime you have heard your child read.

      Additional opportunities:

The school runs a weekly homework club which allows all children the opportunity to complete homework with the support of Miss Ali.

During the course of the year if you have any concerns with your child’s homework please see the class teacher in the first instance.
